Observation
Write what people said and did. A notebook gets lost. A shared team space does not.
Innovation Intervention
Innovation Intervention helps them record what they see, make an inference, and name the problem before anyone is asked to solve it.
In most organizations, strategy travels downward. People at the top decide. People in the work follow a process. The second group is closest to customers, to daily emotion, and to the small signs that something is shifting. Those signs rarely travel back up. Months later a company may hire a study to discover what its own people had already noticed.
Innovation Intervention changes that habit. Staff learn to trust an observation even when they cannot act on it yet. What you see is a symptom. Under it is a problem. Under that is a cause. Fixing the symptom leaves the cause in place.
Write what people said and did. A notebook gets lost. A shared team space does not.
A hunch can be wrong. The practice is to make it, then go back and check.
Put the unmet need in words. Ask whether fixing it is worth the effort before anyone builds a solution.
